THE BEST WAY TO EAT AN ELEPHANT IS ONE BITE AT A TIME

 – Creighton Williams Abram Jr.

Of course, the thought of consuming an entire elephant sounds ridiculous and down right impossible, but maybe the idea of taking one small bite and concentrating on that one piece until it is finished is more manageable.

I’m learning how to eat an elephant, one bite at a time…. that elephant being LIFE

MY ELEPHANT

I’ve discovered my ELEPHANT isn’t balanced.

I love my family and the life I have with them.  I want to spend more of my time with them and less time in my ho-hum career of accounting.  Let’s face it – life is short and my kids won’t be young forever.  I want to take in all this prime time before it ends and not regret a moment of it.

So now, at the age of forty, with two kids age 11 and 13, who are becoming more and more independent every day, I’ve decided that I have already wasted enough time not working at something I love:

RESEARCHING                                     WRITING                                 SHARING INFORMATION

DO I HAVE THE ANSWERS?

Plain and simple – not yet.  This blog is a work in progress; a starting point for me to write down my thoughts, my discoveries and share them with people like you who are struggling with where you are in life right now.

I am also a work in progress  – the work of making small changes in my life to reach my ultimate goal of earning an income at something that is more fulfilling.

Does the thought of consuming the entire elephant still seem impossible?

Need a little moral support on the way?

Don’t worry; I will be here every step of the way, telling you that it is possible and that every tasks/change/challenge to reach your end goal is definitely manageableJust have a little faith and patience in taking those first few steps.  I promise, it will be worth it in the end.
